Good biosecurity practices are vital to reduce the risk of introducing and spreading animal diseases and zoonoses, including avian influenza. As a result, IKB Kip will work with a biosecurity plan. The biosecurity plan is a component of the animal health plan. The biosecurity plan consists of an analysis of the current biosecurity status on a poultry farm, including measures to improve biosecurity. You can use the hygiene scan from AVINED to assess and analyse biosecurity. IKB participants complete this scan annually. The results of the hygiene scan can then be discussed with your veterinarian. You determine which improvement measures are necessary together with the veterinarian. These agreements are documented in the animal health plan.
If you have already evaluated your animal health plan with your veterinarian this year, you must add the biosecurity plan before 01-01-26. If you have not yet evaluated your animal health plan with your veterinarian this year, please ensure that you include this biosecurity plan in your evaluation.

AVINED is currently reviewing the hygiene scan. We will inform you as soon as the latest version of the hygiene scan is available. The scan can be downloaded from the AVINED website.
