The IKB Kip 2026 annual plan has been approved by the IKB Kip Central Board of Experts (CBE) and adopted by the AVINED board. The aim of IKB Kip is to strengthen the license to produce of participating companies. This involves building and maintaining the trust of market parties and society in IKB Kip and the companies that participate in the scheme. The focus areas, together with the CBE, for 2026 include:
- IKB Kip, a system to be proud of, including through continuing to collaborate with the retail and food industry as well as with other certification schemes.
- IKB Kip as an efficient and effective scheme, including through working with clear objectives and aligning with future developments.
- Scheme and scheme management, by monitoring the performances of participants and encouraging participants to deliver a good performance.
- Supporting participants, including through communication and IT tools, while also continuing to anticipate the responsible use of resources and, if necessary, organising webinars on relevant and current topics.
These activities are funded by contributions from IKB Kip participants. Please see the 2026 rates below. The contributions for 2026 will remain the same as the participant contributions in 2025.

Biosecurity plan mandatory in the poultry sector
IKB Kip will work with a biosecurity plan from 1 February 2026. The biosecurity plan is a component of the animal health plan and is an important step towards improving biosecurity on your farm. The biosecurity plan consists of an analysis of the current biosecurity status on a poultry farm, including measures to improve biosecurity. You can use the hygiene scan from AVINED to assess and analyse biosecurity. IKB participants complete this scan annually. The results of the hygiene scan can then be discussed with your veterinarian. You determine which improvement measures are necessary together with the veterinarian. These agreements are documented in the animal health plan.
The new animal health plan template is available on the website (see Appendix 11: IKB Kip Template animal health plan and animal treatment plan poultry farms Version 5).
If you have not yet established a biosecurity plan with your veterinarian this year, please do so before 1 February 2026. This can be done as a component of the animal health plan. If you have already evaluated the animal health plan this year, you can include the biosecurity plan in the animal health plan.
Review of hygiene scan
AVINED is currently reviewing the hygiene scan. We will inform you as soon as the latest version of the hygiene scan is available. The scan can be downloaded from the AVINED website.
