Qualität und Sicherheit (QS) in English

The German quality assurance system Qualität und Sicherheit (QS) was established in 2001 in response to the BSE crisis. The poultry sector of QS was launched three years later. The QS quality assurance system covers the entire supply chain, from individual primary producers to supermarkets. By including the whole chain within the system, QS aims to ensure a higher level of food safety. In total, QS has more than 130,000 participants.

AVINED acts as a bundler for QS. Poultry farms cannot register directly with QS; participation is only possible through a bundler. The bundler serves as an intermediary and coordinator between the participating farms and QS. Any questions or comments regarding the scheme can be submitted to QS through the bundler.

  • Registration and fees You can register by sending an email to info@avined.nl. When registering, please provide your company details, UBN number and KIP number. After receiving your registration, further information will be sent to you by post.
