Griepprik voor pluimveehouders

Het ministerie van VWS heeft besloten de doelgroep voor de jaarlijkse griepvaccinatie uit te breiden. Ook mensen die een groter risico lopen om met vogelgriep in aanraking te komen, waaronder pluimveehouders, worden geadviseerd een griepprik te halen.

Herfstperiode vraagt om extra alertheid op NCD

De situatie rondom vogelgriep in Europa is de afgelopen maanden gelukkig relatief rustig. Toch neemt met het aanbreken van de herfst het risico op nieuwe uitbraken weer toe. Ook Newcastle Disease (NCD) blijft een aandachtspunt. Op 30 september jl. is er een uitbraak gemeld bij hobbydieren in Tongeren in België, niet ver van de Nederlandser grens. Voor beide ziekten geldt: blijf alert, let goed op ziekteverschijnselen en zorg dat de bioveiligheidsmaatregelen op uw bedrijf op orde zijn.

IKB Kip: Annual plan and participants’ contribution 2022 IKB Kip

The IKB Kip 2022 annual plan has been approved by the IKB Kip Central Board of Experts (‘Centraal College van Deskundigen’ – CCvD) and adopted by the board.

The underlying purpose of IKB Kip is to strengthen the license to produce of participating companies active in the poultry supply chain, in and outside the Netherlands. This involves building and maintaining the trust of market parties and society in IKB Kip and the companies that participate in the scheme. The focus areas for 2022 include the following aspects:

  1. Enhancing the added value of IKB Kip using the pay-off ‘IKB Kip, chicken from an assured source’;
  2. Benchmarking the effectiveness of IKB KIP; are we achieving our goals?
  3. Further harmonisation within the chain;
  4. Attention for even better communication and promotion.

These activities are funded by the IKB Kip participants’ contributions. Please see the 2022 rates below. More information about the annual plan and the contribution is given here.
